Q: Does having my credit pulled lower my credit score
A: It depends.  If you are applying for revolving credit, your score can change each time your credit is pulled.  If you are applying for a Mortgage, the credit bureau's will give you 30 days to shop for a mortgage and the inquiries will count as one inquiry against your score.

Q: Do credit cards lower my credit score.
A: They can both lower and raise your score.  One credit card is okay, two is good and if you can maintain three credit cards, your credit scores can go up.  Any more than three credit cards can lower or your score or keep it from going up.

Q: Does going over my limit on my credit cards effect my score?
A: YES.  As hard as it may sound, the best way to increase your credit scores is to maintain 3 credit cards at or below 50% of the limit.  Getting too close to your limit will adversely effect your credit

Q: I want to eliminate some of my credit cards.  Which cards should I get rid of first?
A: You should always pay attention to rates, but when it comes to your credit score, the longer the history, the better.  You should try to get rid of the most resent card first, depending on rate
